A day at camp
Ok, Here goes a rough description of summer camp at Camp Parsons through the eyes of a first timer. In two words, “Chaotic Bliss”. Actually there is a LOT of organization but you have to realize it immediately breaks down with excited tweens and teens. Some scouts follow directions well, and some, not so much. However, I can assure you, ALL scouts are having a great time. I have seen no heavy drama and the very occasional small outburst is typically between a parent and their child. Here is a typical day, scouts wake up, bright and chipper ready to tackle the day, they go wash up brush their teeth and neatly comb their hair, change their clothes, put their old clothes neatly away. Review their plans for the day, perform the flag ceremony and head to their stations after carefully evaluating what they need, Mask, water bottle, proper shoes, scout book and a cheerful attitude… Nah, just kidding our kids roll out of bed, sleepy eyed, bed hair, most then wash up brush teet...
